Anyone who has been following our garden design work over the years, will know how much we love our perennials. Our passion in creating gardens with naturalistic planting schemes would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the amazingly talented team from Antique Perennials in Kinglake.
In 2014, Ian Barker Gardens and Antique Perennials came together for the first time to work on The Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS) and ever since then we have become close friends. Working with them throughout the years on MIFGS shows and assisting us with plants for our garden designs. Mike, Matt and the team at Antique Perennials really know their perennials and constantly surprise us with their incredible depth of knowledge and passion.
It is with this passion that the team at Antique Perennials want to help those needing it most. As Australia is currently in the midst of one of the worst bushfire seasons in history, with more than five million hectares across the country already burnt and at least 1,400 homes destroyed. The resources of volunteer firefighting services are stretched to the max.
To help those on the frontline of the recovery effort, Antique Perennials is opening their Kinglake nursery to the public for a one day only fundraiser for the Bushfire relief funds.
Please join us in wandering around Australia’s premier rare perennial nursery, where entry is by donation and $5 from every plant purchased goes to The Bendigo Bank Bushfire Fund.
Bendigo Bank are committed to supporting all communities impacted by the fires across Australia.
