Mantle Sculpture by David Harber

When a client comes to us looking for a sculpture to complement their garden design, David Harber’s name is quick to roll off the tongue. His award winning designs grace some of the most prestigious addresses across the world – from public spaces and commercial developments through to private gardens.
Inspired by the interaction of light and reflection, David uses materials such as brass, copper, bronze, stainless steel and stone. His sculptures react to and engage with the spaces they are created for.
A favourite of ours here in the office is the Mantle sculpture. Inspired by planet Earth, Mantle’s intrigue lies in the tension between the wafer-thin crust and the golden interior – a metaphor for our eco-system. Made of hundreds of bronze petals linked into a cellular latticework of turquoise verdigris, the underside of each leaf is gilded, giving its interior an ethereal golden glow, as if suggesting an inner life force.

Being built to stand the test of time, the sculpture forms are as striking as they are sturdy. We’re thrilled that they ship to Australia!
